“JESUS WEEK” IN NEW YORK CITY

An event called “Jesus Week” was held recently in New York City’s Times Square. According to The Christian Post, 14,000 people were in attendance. The event included a time of prayer, Scripture reading, and live music performances. “Jesus Week” also involved Christian leaders going into every borough in New York City to pray, help the poor, and minister in schools and troubled neighbourhoods.

PRAYERS FOR POLITICIANS

As reported by Premier.org the Archbishop of Canterbury has called on Christians to pray for all those elected to Parliament following the UK General Election results. The Most Revd Justin Welby tweeted "Following the election result, I pray for wisdom, vision and hope for our political leaders as they seek to form a Government".

DEPORTATION ORDER TO BE REVIEWED
The Anglican Primate of Australia, Melbourne Archbishop Philip Freier, has thanked the Federal Government for deciding to review a deportation order against 80 Coptic Christians because they face systemic violence and persecution in Egypt.
